By accessing and using TruthLater ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TruthLater is a platform for creating immutable, time-stamped predictions. Users can create predictions, share them publicly, and add a single follow-up comment after a prediction's due date.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To create predictions, you must register an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3.2 Account Requirements

You must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Provide accurate information
  • Not impersonate others
  • Not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions

4. Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of predictions you create. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content.

4.2 Content Rules

You may not post content that:

  • Is illegal or promotes illegal activity
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains hate speech or harassment
  • Contains spam or malware
  • Violates others' privacy
  • Is sexually explicit

4.3 Immutability

Predictions and follow-up comments cannot be edited after creation. This is a core feature of the Service. Content can only be removed by administrators for violations of these terms.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Abuse or harass other users
  • Attempt to access unauthorized areas
  • Interfere with the Service's operation
  • Scrape or data mine the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots) without permission
  • Evade rate limits or other restrictions

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms. Removed content will show as "unavailable" rather than being deleted completely, to maintain the integrity of the platform.

7. Reporting

If you see content that violates these terms, you can report it using the "Report" button. We review all reports but cannot guarantee a specific response time.

8. Intellectual Property

The TruthLater name, logo, and service are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account by contacting us.

14. Governing Law
